Slow Cooker Turkey Soup

16 ozs turkey light meat, skinless, cooked and cubed
1/2 c onions, chopped
16 ozs canned dark red kidney beans, drained
2 stalks celery, chopped
15 ozs tomato sauce
3 cloves garlic, chopped
29 ozs no-salt-added diced tomatoes
2 c water
4 ozs mushrooms in jar, drained
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1/2 c bell peppers, chopped

combine turkey, beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, celery, garlic cloves, water, and Italian seasoning. Mix well. Cover and cook on low for four hours, or until vegetables are tender. I leave mine on Low for 6-8 hours sometimes also.

Makes 8 servings. 164 calories and 3 grams fat

Lowfat Turkey Sausage Stew:

Ingredients:
1 1/4 pound lowfat turkey sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 1/2 pound sauerkraut, drained
2 1/4 apples, peeled, cored and cut into rings
3/4 onion, sliced into rings
2 pounds red potatoes, quartered
1 1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/2 cup non/lowfat Swiss cheese, shredded
Turn this recipe into a puzzle! [click]
Directions:

Place half the sausage in a crockpot and top with sauerkraut. Top this mixture with remaining sausage, apple, onion and potatoes. Add stock and caraway seeds.

Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Top with cheese and serve.

Serving: Calories: 330; Fat: 7 g; Cholesterol: 50 mg; Protein: 20 g; Carbohydrates: 45 g; Fiber: 5 g; Sodium: 900 mg

That's cool.I like the idea of making soup in cooker.That is the best way of making such delicious soup faster.I rally glad with the concept that you have explained.One more thing that I want to tell you is that please share more such interesting recipes which can easily made with help of cooker.
